How Does JUVÉDERM® Work?
Each JUVÉDERM filler contains a smooth hyaluronic acid gel that your clinician carefully injects beneath the skin. The filler immediately restores volume, softens wrinkles, and enhances facial contours while maintaining a natural appearance.
Results appear immediately after treatment and continue to improve as any minor swelling resolves.
What to Expect During Treatment
JUVÉDERM injections take place in our office and usually require less than an hour. Most fillers contain lidocaine to improve comfort, and additional topical or local anesthetic may be used when needed.
Most patients return to their normal activities the same day.
Recovery After JUVÉDERM®
Recovery is minimal. You may experience:
- Mild swelling
- Bruising
- Redness
- Tenderness
- Temporary firmness at the injection sites
These effects typically resolve within several days to one week.
